Order Processing

Orders with Perishables placed Monday - Tuesday before 10A.M. (EST) will be processed that day. If you place an order with Perishables weekdays or anytime on Wednesday - Sunday or holidays will be processed the following Monday (business day if Monday is a holiday). If the order does not contents perishables will ship the same or next day.


Order Shipping

PERISHABLES 

FROZEN PRODUCTS

Products such as Frozen Seafood and Favas verdes, MUST BE RECEIVED NEXT DAY FROM SHIPMENT. Be sure to place a new order only for FROZEN PRODUCTS and select "NEXT DAY AIR" when ordering. 

 

  CHEESE, MEATS, BREADS AND PASTRIES

Products such as Chourico mouro, morcelas, farinheiras, alheiras, linguica, Cheese, Bread, Pastry, and alike SHOULD BE RECEIVED 2 DAYS FROM SHIPMENT. Be sure to select "SECOND DAY AIR" when ordering. Chourico, presunto and salpicao SHOULD BE RECEIVED 3 DAYS FROM SHIPMENT.

 

The following is the Transit Time UPS takes to deliver from our location:
 

  •  If perishables delivery is in the following states selecting GROUND shipment is acceptable for all products.

  • If perishables delivery is in the following states, you MUST SELECT “SECOND DAY AIR” or "PRIORITY"

Return / Refund Policy

At Portuguese Foods Online, total customer satisfaction is what drives our success. We guarantee quality and freshness on all packaged products we sell including dried, salted codfish. However, and because of the unpreserved nature of all perishable products, returns are unfeasible and cannot be exchanged or credited to your account. Returnable non-perishable packaged items must be in their original, unopened packaging and cartons. We are require any return package be fully insured for contents value with shipping receipts retained should a transit problem occur. Portuguese Foods Online is not liable for any repackaging, handling or shipping costs related to returned products and for products damaged in transit by the carriers.

Delivery Restrictions


We cannot accept orders shipped to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Although we instruct the carriers to leave packages at your door without signature, please arrange to have someone available to receive your order mainly if they are perishables and refrigerate upon receipt. We are not responsible for delays in receipt should the carrier, at its discretion, not leave your package for security or any other reason unattended at your shipping address.
Please note that we are not responsible for delays in shipment outside of our control (i.e. snow, an incorrect shipping address, seasonal delays,  or if you are unavailable to accept your delivery).

 

Minimum order of  $25.00 (shipping not included)

Please be advised that our shipping cost is based on a unique rate calculated to states like WA, AZ, CA, OR, CO, HI, AK etc. We don't profit with Shipping, but our business is based on what we sell.  If for any reason you are overcharged on Shipping we'll refund you for the difference as soon as the order is shipped.   

MEAT PRODUCTS

The minimum order for meats is 5 Lbs. which can be assorted.
